R8 Slow off the line?

Ive had my car for a little over 3 months and for some reason, this past weekend it seemed as thought the car doesnt move off the line. I specifically remember that the car would have a kick off the line and quickly reach 8krpm. My previous car (m6) was slow off the line, and when i got the r8 i felt an immediate difference, up until this weekend. As well, when im changing gears (rtronic) it seems to lag between gears and in all these instances im in sport mode. Any thoughts? Have i just gotten used to the car? From a standstill, you punch the car, and it literally takes a good 3 SECONDS to get moving....

No, buddy, something is wrong. I am trying to post up a video showing the quickness of my V8 R8. I am just burning up the tires ,but I think you'll get an idea of the Sprint booster chip, exhaust, air filter kit making my R 8 pretty quick. You should get into the shop so they can hook your car up to diagnose, to be sure. Here it is I hope !!!

I like the smell of burning rubber, but make sure you hit the recirculation button for vents. I didn't and received a bunch of smoke in my face !!

You think audi will swap out my v8 engine for v10? that should solve the problem...lol

I feel a slight lag from the off in mine, not 3 seconds worth though - just a slight hesitation which I figure is either the quattro bogging or the traction control.

Not sure what's going on with the gear changes for you though other than if you're talking about the shift times at low revs as the completion time changes relative to rpm.

In a straight line I spin all four tires off the line in sport mode, R-Tronic. This is without launch control.

Same here Golfer. Must be something wrong on his R-Tronik R 8. I haven't found it necessary to use the Launch Controll very much. Like the book says : Expect your car to wear out quickly if you use Launch TOO much ! At least our warranty still stands and not like the famous Nissan GT.

Have not experienced spinning all 4 wheels off the line..........
How have you experienced this in V8 with R tronic. ........
I'm wondering if Hill hold asist is required to deactivate before accelerating thus slowing the launch sequence under normal conditions......i.e. not using launch control......or am i not agressive enough.
