Towing Eye: Rear attachment?

The supplied towing eye has a clearly visible (and shown in the manual) front attachment in the R side grille. My question is: Is there a REAR attach point for the towing eye as well?

My A6 had them both front and rear, and once the rear one was useful to extract the car from a downhill nose-in space. I got to thinking about that viv-a-vis the R8, because the manual only mentions the front attachment point.

Anybody know if there's a rear one?

Yes, there has to be an attatchment point in the rear.

Willy....I didn't find it on the back of my V10 either. Maybe it is "under" the diffusor screen?

It SHOULD be back there because sometimes the R8 has to be pulled onto a flat tow in reverse (like after a really bad accident). Is the front tow hook location in the manual? then the rear should be there (in Manual) too.

It gives the front location in my book but no mention of the rear

You guys are right. I searched the rear of my R8 and...NO TOW HOOK POINT. Just throwing a hook to the suspension ,doesn't fly too well. I'll be driving around with the front tow hook installed for a few days. Required at Buttonwillow. I hope I don't have to use it.
