    1st? R8 V10 DYNO CHART

Snipped from another forum where they have done a baseline dyno prior to doing some mod work.

Appears a similar loss...like the V8 thru the drive train.

Good find, With all the R8's on this forum I think I'm the only one to post a dyno chart. Would love to see some more to see range and comparisons for mod purposes. R8 is very easy to get strapped down so hope some others do it

Thumbs up Re: 1st? R8 V10 DYNO CHART

I will investigate getting dynoed , as I seem to be running great. Miltek-no valves exhaust, PPI filters/manifolds,not much, but a NOTICEABLE improvement.

I hope that's a modified V8 and not a V10. A properly calibrated 4WD Mustang dyno isn't the most generous in the world, but that strikes me as a lowish number for the V10.

Sounds about right for the V10 with 20% drive train loss to the wheels. My V8got 338hp at the wheels on a Mustang dyno

    Definitively a V10.

Dropped in the dyno shop today to just check it out(booked over the phone)and the guy spoke about specific dyno tuning available on the engine at every 500 revs towards redline to maximize fuel/air mix/injectors/spark etc on each individual cylinder.

Does any one know if this is beneficial or a crock of s..t.

Also he has available a ABT Sportsline ecu....has anyone had feedback on this ecu

Most dyno shops offer in-house custom tuning, It's not a crock and they can usually squeeze a bit more out of car. Being an NA motor you will never get much extra hp/tq from a tune or ecu flash but can make car feel better to drive. Never heard about the ABT, I have looked at REVO and APR is about to come out with one for R8. My only concern is warranty issues, I had some problems with dealer when I had my RS4 flashed by Unitronic. With over 3 years of warranty left I'm hesitant to do anything to void it. Like driving my car hard and not worry about breaking something knowing it will be covered. Only have 4,000 miles on it, maybe after putting some more on and feeling comfortable that I have a good strong motor will then look into flashing

Very valid points.Even thou my dealer has given the nod and wink on a ecu I am reluctant. Also my previous engine felt strong and never gave any hint of concern until it went southward at 18000k.

With the occasional track day I not entirely confident the wink would hold up.. if I presented a second broken engine.
