    So sure footed!

I had to do a 400 mile round trip between yesterday and today. The weather in the UK has been dismal - torrential rain and gusts up to 100 mph in places - there were even signs on the motorway saying "slow down, strong cross winds"

The R8 performed impeccably - I don't think I've driven a car so stable and sure footed in such conditions - even at speed. At the end of it I stepped out feeling totally unfazed and refreshed - like I'd just done a quick trip to my local shops!

    Kudos to a wonderful car!

I agree 100%. I have been out and about today in the rind and very heavy rain. The car was rock solid.

R8 continues to impress me in all conditions as well.

Try putting on some Hr springs and improve even more its solid characteristics and notice the improved sharpness/tightness of the car..without losing the R8 suppleness and damping on ride comfort.

    Re: So sure footed!

    Just got back from London.

Left from Suffolk this morning in torrential rain, stopped off in Chelmsford to collect daughter then on to Sloan square for lunch. Back home by reverse route. 220miles total.

That route includes bumpy country roads, motorway, stop start traffic lights in the East end and all the fun of driving in central London.

The car didn't put a foot wrong. The V10 didn't get chocked up, the R-tronic didn't miss a shift.

If I really wanted to pick holes I would have had a seat 2 inches wider, but that down to my big ass not the car!
    Regards, Graham.

I had a very interesting first date in Oriel a few years back! Started at 1pm, ended 11 hours and 8 bottles of pink Champagne later

Thumbs up Re: So sure footed!

Sounds like our RAINBOW (brainblow) Bar and Grill! The waitresses tell stories about the rocker stars getting out of hand there. The street it's on is called the Sunset strip which is in many car scenes in movies. It is a banked turns road 15 mi.long that leads to Santa Monica beach. Sunset Plaza road up to Blue-Jay Way is very intense as well. Top was a Beatles hang-out,empty lot...There's a fog upon L.A... We used to fancy many bottles of FRISHENEE,(Spanish Champagne), which we refer to as "F**king A"
