Huh? Is this serious? You can shift whenever you want to shift. Why would it matter?
I'm guessing OP is finding gears a little stiff. OP - this will loosen up over time, nothing to do with revs.
I'd second that. Once you get out of second, you'll find third and fifth tight and take longer to loosen up. Might be worth checking for software upgrade for gearbox
I'm sure they tweaked my V8 when in for something else
It had these symptoms but maybe not as bad
Assume it's a manual. For non-spirited driving, think 4-5k. It's not a luxury cruising 8 cyl so 3-4k does not apply. In fact normal driving on the highway, think level at 4k. It will give you flexibility to push it if you want or slow down. Oh and there's something weird about the driver position and 1'st and 5th gear. Either the throw is long (it's not) or the position is strange. Sometimes, I don't get it all the way in gear. Now that I know about it, it doesn't happen anymore but it's not just me. A friend got in the car and missed the shift into 5th.

thanks.. yeah in the manual it says press the accelorator fully until hitting 6500 RPM then clutching.. but in city driving.. doesnt really allow me to do so..
In the city (in london anyway) you will crash it really soon if you drive it like that - but at least it will be glorious ;-)
