Headlamps got misted over

Hi there,

I've noticed number of times headlamps to get misted over. Both of them.
Dealers say that is normal. Is it?!

I really don’t this to be Ok in ~200K Euro car.

Have you used a pressure washer to clean the car? or has anyone else if you have it valeted? this could be the cause, it is unsightly when this happens but it should clear after time.

No, haven't used it...
The problem is that the lamps are misted even during the ride...
AUDI says that is normal... If it is, than why haven’t they highlighted this fact in R8 advertisement materials...?! That's fair!

If you are in a cold climate (Moscow) it probably is normal as the temp difference between the inside of the sealed lamps and the ambient, plus any moisture in the air would be defying physics, should go away though after the air heats up? Can't quite see from your pictures how bad yours is but mine does it too on frosty mornings..

Audi should REPLACE. Your climate will put everything to the test. Come to think of it , you have a high mileage car,(compared to other R8s) and batteries don't like the cold much. Have you replaced your battery? Yet? Once my computer screen said Gearbox Malfunction. For a split second, while sitting in heavy traffic, after racing around in 110degree heat.At the time my temp sensor was reading over 130 degrees from the street. Which extreme would you prefer? I'll take the heat.

If you have LED lights they have fans to cool the LED heat-sinks which also recirculate the heat to demist the light units in cold weather. The misting is mentioned in the user handbook.
