On track with mods

Went back to my favorite track today for the first time since doing modifications to the R8.

My previous best time on this track was a 1.07.2. with a on track temperature of 28C.

Today I went around almost 4 seconds better with a 1.03.4 and a stinking hot track of 45C and air temp at 34C

The driver is the same and no improved talent.

Mods done between

Stasis exhaust
V Flow filters
Hr Springs
305 Rear from 295
Front spoiler.

Car really responded well with power and hauled down the straights.Those Hr springs have sharpened the car and kept it much more planted.

Standard P-Zero's used.

Looks good, how does the R8 compare to a holden round the tracks? are Holdens more of a staright line car?

Struggled in the corners..R8 just cleanly pulls away.

Straight line speed is decent..but went past him halfway down QR straight and all over.

Do you ever have overheating probs in such heat?

Bodhii..Biggest improvements for me was twofold.

Handling!..the car just gave much nicer feedback when getting close to limit..thus giving me more confidence to push harder.(springs)

Engine!.. was so much better powering out corners and gaining speed quickly.Heading down the straights the redline came up so much faster than before..thus my terminal speed at the end of the main straight was 20kmh plus up

Water temperature was very consistent throughout the day and never increased.(below halfway)

Oil Temperature got hot raising to 125c(3rd bar)using Castrol Synthetic Sport 10-60w.Before anyone asks this was recommended by my Audi dealer to give less breakdown in our climate(hot)particularly on the track..
