Folks
Got a call from the Audi "heavies" about ordering my spyder for delivery next year.
Apparently if the order wasnt placed by today, its possible for the car not to appear until 2011.
Under current economic conditions, I doubt it but ordered just to make sure.
On the other hand they did say it was possible for the "couple of hundred" ahead of me to change their minds, and I shoot up the queue.
My major rant was that Audi doesnt have a web based configurator where I can test colour patterns and combos. They claim there is one at West London Audi so I guess I'll have to go out there and see what its about despite hearing its not working.
Ordered the Spyder with all the options like my 6spd-V8, but have left the detail until I have to pay my deposit of £3k next month. Going to go for the classic "riviera" build -- ferrari red, black hood, beige leather with magnolia/sand contrast stiching -- black steering wheel, dash and console with hi-gloss V8 wheels.
Question: Should the Spyder be a boulevard cruiser with R-Tronic or a 6spd animal that scares women and children ....
For those with a Spyder on order, which did you go for -- R-tronic or 6-speed ?
I reckon 6-speed to blow the tops off the lattes/cappucinos -- but I could be wrong ...
Decisions, decisions .....
Cheers
Munky
