my V10 is in the queue at the factory

I just got a call from my dealer yesterday and they have a confirmed slot for my car going into production in January. That equates to a March delivery which is slightly earlier than planned but I'll take it! Here is how I have my car specified:

    daytona gray pearl effect color
    black leather interior
    6 speed manual
    carbon fiber sigma sideblade
    titanium finish aluminum alloy wheels
'10 Audi R8 V10 (daytona gray pearl effect, CF sideblades, titanium finish wheels, STaSIS exhaust/ECU)
'12 Tesla Model S Signature Series (on order)
    '11 Cadillac Escalade ESV
    '06 Lexus RX 400h
    '03 Chevy Corvette 50th Anniversary
    '94 Dodge Viper
    '69 Chevy Camaro SS/RS

Will look great, my first R8 was in Daytona and its an easy colour to keep clean, the next one was in black and a nightmare to keep clean! post pics when you get it.

I know - I think 6 of the last 7 vehicles I have owned have been black (some vehicles just have to be black ) and I need a service coming to my office and home to keep them clean.

I think the dark daytona gray will have a nice subtle contrast with the carbon fiber and the other black accents.

Congrats!!!! These next few months may feel long... Did you see the titanium wheels? I was wondering how they would look with the white and black body color.ll

Thanks - I can be patient since the winter season is fastly approaching and I wouldn't be driving anyway.

I have not seen the titanium finish wheels in person but I love the look from pictures and I think they will look great with the daytona gray. I also like the older style wheel more than what is standard for the V10.

Daytona should look awesome. My V8 is daytona with quartz grey blades. I don't think pictures do the daytona justice. I expect you to be blown away when you first see it sitting there in the dealership, prepped and ready to go. I was, and continue to be very happy with the choice. Bring a camera. I will never forget the first minute I saw mine

Re: my V10 is in the queue at the factory

I had arranged with the dealer to have my car delivered to my house if there was snow on the ground. You may want to consider this option as the V8 let alone the V10 with summer tires do not like the snow. The car is almost impossible to steer or stop without winter tires in the snow. It would be terrible if you had a boo boo before you get home.

Have your dealer tell you when the transport vehicle will arrive so you can watch it being unloaded. That will make you heart go beat beat as the song goes. The long wait is worth it. Enjoy!!

Dealer made about 10-15k off you. Least they could do is deliver. I subtracted the cost of delivery off what I paid as well. It's going to be a loooonnnngg winter for you!

Long winter for me already, and my vehicle has only been in storage for a week. Can I come and drive yours the next time I am in San Jose?
