Need opinions on my spec...

I have found a dealer who expects to have a car for me by spring. He had a couple negative comments about my spec and has me second guessing myself. Here they are:

5.2 V10
Sepang Blue
Carbon Blades
Titanium finish wheels
Alcantera headliner
Extended leather
AMI

First, he thought it was odd to order Carbon Blades without the CF interior package. Personally, I think the black plastic looks fine and worry a bit that too much CF might get a little old. I like the look, but too much of anything...

Secondly, he thought the blue/carbon combo would be ugly. F'ing ugly was the actual term he used. (Gazza1, can you relate?) I considered Red/carbon, but have loved black on blue since my '69 Camaro days.

I realise how absurd it is to ask for opinions about what I will like, but I want them anyway. It's my compulsive side coming to the surface I guess.

Also, anything else I should ask for? Car cover? Maint. plan?

This is my spec for my V10. I've seen blue with carbon in person and it looks great. I would get the carbon interior as it "makes" the interior.

Get what you want. It's your car.

I'm not sure it is a dealer's place to tell you what your tastes should be.

Anyway, FWIW see me comments below (I like how your car is speced - mine is almost identical except for the color):

I totally agree with you but some think more is good and like it in the interior too.

I like this combo and CF can go with almost anything.

I agree. I have seen blue with CF blades and it looks fine.

Personally I have the carbon interior but I can't see why your choice of CF blades should influence you choice of interior.

Your dealer is blind! Sepang Blue with C.F blades looks great, not me being biased, it did take a good few months to choose between the red/C.F and the blue/C.F. The interior I think looks great with or without C.F, for me it was a matter of 'I'll have C.F inlays nm what colour leather' but having seen pictures without it, it's not that special imo.

I'm biased but I think the C/f blades go well, in the sun the weave glints - I would have just ignored him, it's just his opinion in the end.. Regards the interior, hey it's your car! my only opinion I would offer is that if it WAS black plastic it would be OK but in the UK at least it is an ugly (IMHO) mid satin grey? If you like the look, **&* everyone else's opinion. FWIW, I got the coloured stitching (after vacillating back and forth between Palace Blue and ext black) and forgot with the colured stitching it was only in a couple of places, ho hum at least it meant I could retrofit it to exactly what I wanted, just more hassle.

My 2c worth, and not worth so much nowadays now that everyone is treading on eggshells...

I would sleep easy (apart from the grey plastic, sorry...) it's a great choice.

Your spec sounds fine to me. I personally opted not to have all that CF in the cabin as well.

They had a Blue/CF V10 at Infineon when I was there early this month. I drove it both days and thought it looked awesome. Definitely will be my order later this year.

Davey Dee will feel very special sitting in Ians' C.F. surroundings. C.F. is worth its' weight in gold. Ians' interior will make you feel like ROYALTY, I am sure. With C.F.-PRINCE. Without-PAUPER. Unless you are a complete Track-rat or, could care less about the LOOK !
