R8 driver was running at high speed when he lost control and crashed into the road safety barriers (not as safe for him)... As you see at the photos one barrier passed through the steering column hole into the car cabin and got out from the engine's rear door... Co-driver got out the vehicle unhurt but the driver got out bad injured with his both legs cut ...

legs cut off, I hate to say it but he was lucky, the barrier does a bend just as it enters the passenger compartment (look in the first pic), if it hadn't bent, it would have hit him centre of mass and that'd be fatal.
