Request for advice

Greetings and Merry Christmas to all of you! I am new to your forum and I have an S5 and a Shelby Mustang and want to upgrade to an R8. Do you think I will be satisfied with the V8 or are many of you going for the V10? Have any of you gone from the S5 to the R8 and what is the most exciting change? Are these becoming more easily available now and will the V8 still be made or will they go to all V10's? Thanks for any thoughts and advice!!!

Please put your location in your profile. If you want a drag car like the Mustang you should choose the V10. Both cars are wonderful. If you have the money why not buy both?

Would depend on how you drive and where you drive, but the best solution would be to try and get a test drive in both.

If I were buying new, I'd buy a v10 simply down to the math of the initial price difference and effect on depreciation down the road.

The R8 could be ordered with radio delete. Driving this car is the most fun I have ever had with my clothes on. A warm day, a country road, open windows, and the sound of the engine is a thrill every time. I have never driven a V10, but I don't want a de-tuned Lamborghini engine, even if it is a little quicker than the V8. The equipment and the color, plus a little CF makes the R8 V8. In any case, this the greatest of almost 40 cars that I have owned in my lifetime.

Let someone else pay the better part of depreciation and get a used V8. You buy this car for handling, so either engine will work great. I would love more power but I'm still burning lots of gas!
