Impromptu Car Meet in Vancouver

It was a strange day yesterday. Was having lunch with a buddy who drives an F430, and suddenly, because a few other friends happened to call up and were just out and about, we all decided to go for a drive and ended up snapping these shots.

Silver R8 really stands out in that crowd, eh?

Haha...yeah, there was a fair bit of the proverbial jaw hitting the floor, and camera phones were out in full force as well. But it's all in good fun.

Yeah, vinyl matte black wrapping seems to be all the rage right now in Vancouver. Both the LP560-4 and the GT-R are done that way.

Yeah-Buddy !! I agree with R1-Lee. Yes the Muc, I mean Murcy, (Murcielago), looks like a baby Reventon. These days a wrap is the way to go, rather than a repaint. (DD - for a color change) So said Euro-cars in New-Port beach Ca.,yesterday. Said wrap comes in any color.

How does it play with the re sale value though? not sure I would want a car that had been tampered with, does it just peel off? How does it finish in the secondary areas like door frames and inner painted areas?

yeah that's a good question... can you just peel it off? I would love to do that with the R8.

You are right Monkey boy U.K. The reason I was talking about this issue is - at the shop there is a nice condition Gallardo Spyder. It is a plain sky blue/no mettalics. Standing next to the other color Lambos-it looks like a sloth. I recommended spraying a clearcoat with pearl/mettalics to wake the colour up. The owner stated that a wrap would be the way to go, and that wraps are available in many color choices. Imagine having different color jambs...horror show./WEAK-SAUCE. And YES they just peel off.(Carefully applied and carefully removed)---To cause NO damage.
