    R8 Ipanema brown / Carbon Sigma

    Looks more than interesting

    1st R8 for me in Ipanema brown. Audi had TT RS and a Q7 V12 in that colour at the IAA Autoshow in Frankfurt.

    nice to see a different look, but it's one of those colours that could look seriously dated in a few short years. could see that being a resale value killer down the line.

    Like it, but would i be brave enough to order that colour? its like this colour, like it too but would i order one? i dont think so but would admire those that had the balls to spec it..

    It's an interesting color, but sportscars should never be any shade of brown IMO. On the A5/S5 it would be pretty sharp.

    There is another R8 out there in Saddle Brown with Sand Beige blades. Its pictured in the '09 AE order guide. I havent managed to find it in a .jpg but it elicits a similar response as the Ipanema... nice and interesting but not to be ordered. That Saddle/Sand was on my short list of colors when I was ordering but when it came down to it, Brown is not a color for an "exotic-esque" sports car.
