Lot's of fun. The R8's RWD bias doesn't make it quite as easy, or oversteer friendly as the regular Audi line, but the car handled amazingly well - and would have done a lot better if we could have found some stickier "ice" compound winter tires. Still looking for a reasonable 18" wheel setup for winter rubber. Cheers

Ha, thats crazy. We were there the previous weekend doing the "5th gear" course! Would have beem much more fun in Audi's over the Camry and 4Runners the school had.

Planning on going next year same time - will have to check with the Audi Club before we go.

Good choice to do the 2-day 5th Gear program. Who did you have as your instructors?

2nd FWIW for anyone in the Rocky Mountain area, or close, Lamborghini of Denver (contact Bill Nuccio, General Manager 303-792-2540 for more information etc.) is putting togther an event Sat/Sun February 20-21 up at BWDS. I'm leaning to going back up if I can. Not sure how many Lamborghini's will actually show up on the snow, but . . . . . it should be fun. Plans include a dinner, hotel etc. at least a half day on Saturday in the BWDS vehicles, then either a full or half day on Sunday.

Lea was our primary person. Honestly all the instructors there we met were super nice. We had a group of 4 people and the others in the course were all from TireRack - they had won some sort of competition so this was their prize. Nice having a smaller group of students.
