Also a interesting read re the effect on horsepower and torque when they disconnected the exhaust valve and kept it open at all times.

Re disconnecting the exhaust valve:-
Interesting. I can't understand why there would be any difference above 3200 rpm ?
Maybe the systems are different, they mention disconnecting an electrical connector, with the R8 that throws a warning light straight away.
Interestingly my car feels like it has more torque at low revs with the valves open. This may well just be a psychological response to the smoother exhaust sound.

Could it be you detuned your cars yourselves by disabling the valves,for the sake of a little noise? MORE dyno print-outs in order.

Interesting that they thought the R8 V10's power was under-rated by Audi. I wonder if the Audi is less detuned relative to the new Gallardo than Audi has claimed and that they used a low figure just for marketing purposes so as not to cannabalize Lambo sales completely.
Last I checked, the Bulls' resale value was shockingly low. A Murcielago hunter could get a killer deal these days. The really cheap Lambos are usually stock. I guess the TT Lambo owners are keeping their TTs. A V 10 TT of any brand should be enough of a street machine for me. Or SC of course. Are there any SC Gallardoos out there??

Right. I saw a nice black Murcielago a few months ago and the dealer was willing to sell it for less than 200k. And I used to think these cars were "investments".

I have to say my SL feels much quicker than the R8 V10's I drove at Sonoma. Bit lighter and a bit more HP. I still would drive a R8 day in and day out over the lambo. Easier car to live with.
Lambo prices are also in the tank. Some very good deals out there.
