Donuts in the snow

So I got my car back from Rogue yesterday, and this morning we've got more than a foot of snow. What to do once the plows come through and 4-wheelers are no longer fun?

Take the R8 out of course!

Indeed. Yesterday was a much better day out, so I finally got to take it up to speed again. Still gotta get used to it, there are some idiosyncrasies I'm not used to

YEA!!! It's good to see someone else that's not afraid of driving in the white death.

I'm impressed w/the Pirellis thus far.

We had 8" this week and are expecting another 5-8 this evening. As long as I can get the driveway plowed so that the belly doesn't scrap, the 8's a blast to drive in the stuff.

The white death from the sky started falling about 2:00 a.m. this morning. At 7:30 we had about 2" on the ground. There's been another two in the past two hours.

Still, I had to go get my morning Starbucks fix (it's an addiction, what can I say?). Took the R8 and had a blast. Donuts in Starbuck's lot, donuts in the local grocery store's lot, sideways through most corners.

I'm sure people are looking at me thinking "Check the idiot in the sports car sliding away."

They need to look more closely, as I have coffee in one hand, a steering wheel in the other, and a car being guided very deliberately while wearing a grin from ear to ear!





And of course, I have to wear the proper driving shoes:

These are pretty much my 24/7, 365 foot wear... I hate shoes.

btw - the RS6 does even better donuts. It spins about a point that's just behind the driver's seat.
