Unsolicited PM re number plate

Just a quick heads up.

I got a PM yesterday from a member offering me what he claimed was a UK numberplate for sale.

I have no problem with that but I noticed that the post count was '0'. I didn't think you could PM with a 0 post count ?

More importantly I don't think the plate he was selling was a plate that could legitimately be made up in the UK without misrepresenting letters or numbers.

Looks worth about £400 to me not £4500 he was asking! If you are going to mess the plate about that much you may as well just put 'AUDI R8 V10' on it and pay the fines !!

I got V10 LED for my car, cost £395.

Agree its worth about £400 max - I got R8 RSO from DVLA for about £250 a few years ago.
