I'm getting quite sick of all these derivatives of the R8. Enough is enough, put out 2 cars, 1 engine, convertible and non. End of story.

even if i can't afford a V10, atleast I would be able to dream.

Disagree. More options at differing prices = more choice = more customers = more development = better cars = more options etc etc etc

Plus more chance to make it unique, your own car [e.g. not confusing your car with another coming out of the local police station ;-) ]

Actually I think it is one of the 'good' things about the R8, the car feels like it is on a continuous evolution process, rather than just a specious v2 car which is restyled just for the sake of it. Compare the 2007 brochure and compare it to the 2010 version to see what I mean. Just my 2cents.
