v10 front license plate grill

My car came with the front license plate bracket. Dealership is willing to sell me the replacement grill (at cost), no charge instillation.
Thought they were going to replace the grill as a courtesy. What are other dealership's policy?

Anybody, who needs a grill with front plate , want to swap?

Most dealers I talked to would not swap grills that direction for free. If they had an inventory car with a no plate grill and it was required in that area. They would likely swap it if the new buyer required it. It is not super easy to swap grills, you need to take off the front bumper and stuff. It does take a little time. You may get interest from another owner here but it may take some time.

I had to buy a new grill and pay to have it installed, to get one with no plate. Depends on where you are and if the law requires a front plate. I kept my old grill in case I started to have issues with local police and had to put the plate on.

Highly unlikely you'll find someone to swap. If the car came with the license plate grill, it was because the car was sold in a state that required a plate on the front. Unless a dealer is selling a car to someone out of state and to a state that doesn't need the front plate, they will certainly not swap.

true, I bought the car in maryland (which requires the front plate) and live in Delaware (which doesn't) Thanks for the responses

Jeff, how much do they want for the grill without the license plate holder? I live in a state which requires a front plate but I ordered my V10 car with the plain grill.

So far no problems, but most likely I'll get a ticket or warning sometime in the future.

If the grill without the plate is reasonable, I might be interested in buying your grill to keep as a spare. Anyone know how much a plain grill goes for?

I recently did a swap with a forum member here (SteveR8). HIs front plated grill for my non. When we were chatting, i think it was $900US for the non plated grill. Up here in Canada, they dealership wanted $1100-1200 for a plated grill + installation.
