    RS4 wheels on R8 V10?

I just placed a deposit on a R8 V10 that I'll be picking up in two weeks. Very excited. :-)

I'm upgrading from my 2007 RS4. I have a (potentially stupid) question: would I be able to put my OEM 19" RS4 wheels with winter tires on my R8?

    Thanks for your advice.

Congrats on the car and welcome to the boards!

As for the wheels; NO NO NO!

You're better off picking up a spare set of R8 wheels to mount your snow tires on. Check the classifieds!

    I struck a nerve, huh? ;-)

So would my existing winter tires fit on the spare R8 wheels?

Anyone want to buy some nearly-new RS4 winter tires on nice wheels? :-)

Since you cannot run the R8 wheels on the normal RS4... R8-11s and 8s. the 8s might be useable on either. I fell in love with the 2010 A5 and S5 and of course the RS5. Just for a grocery getter , mind you. Congratulations on stepping it up. \"/

    Re: RS4 wheels on R8 V10?

Your RS4 wheels are 19x9 w/29ET and the front R8 wheels are 19x8.5 w/42ET, which means the RS4 wheels would stick out 19mm more than the R8 wheels. Not ideal.

The snow tires you have now are 235/40. The R8 needs 235/35. Close, but no cigar.

We won't even talk about the rears...

Let's imagine you had transferred the RS4 wheels onto the R8, would you trf. the R8 wheels onto the RS4?

Seriously though, what would you have put on the RS4 or would you just let it lie on blocks?

I'm trading in the RS4 when I pick up the R8. Originally I expected to have my spare RS4 winter wheels/tires lying around after the transaction, thus my post. But I've already found someone to take them off my hands so it's all good.
