I don't think you'll find a forum quite like OURS. Membership is limited, which really helps. Too many members and things go haywire. We here at this forum are VERY lucky to all get along and understand each other very well. Kind of like a nice family. Show me any other forum that is like family and I'll eat my hat. NO Haters here !! An R8 spyder forum could possibly be descent. And the fact that the V 10 came along with the same basic platform insures good comradery. If you find a another decent R8 forum like this one...let me know. Peice out. \"/

I came from audiworld. At one time it was the best resource, but it has been pretty much abandoned.

Audizine rarely has info not posted here, and is less active. Few posts there seem to be by owners, so it is not a great place to look for specific information.

I check RS6.com once and a while. Members there seem to know quite a bit about ring times and racing related stuff, but it is not nearly as active as R8Talk. This site is by far the best overall r8 resource.

I have a peek at audiworld and quattroworld on a regular basis, mainly because they have some location specific boards (i.e. Canada board), not that much R8 stuff gets posted in those sections...

This site seems to have the highest quality postings on the R8.

I recently put up a site at www.audir8club.org to start organizing some US based R8 specific events (like the tour in June over in Europe). I could add a forum if everyone thinks it would be worthwhile but R8TALK is currently the single best resource for R8 info. And remember, it's us members that make it so. If we went to any other Forum russman mentioned, it would become the best! The only thing likely to replace R8TALK - or any Forum - is Audi AG's new web portal for R8 owners - [url]www.AudiR8Pilots.com[URL].

The Audi R8 Pilots portal allows owners to create and maintain an account (VIN required), enter data about you and your car and upload images. It also features a Forum and access to R8 development staff. After the site is upgraded this summer, users will be able to search and contact other users. Audi is not currently promoting the site on Audiusa.com but will after the upgrade. I am told all registered R8 owners will receive info about the web portal some time this summer.

This is the best R8 resource period. I blow time on Quattroworld.com and RS6.com as I have two other cars (RS6/TT) that have very active forums as well as the Chicago area on Quattroworld. Previously Audiworld but it died off with a drastic format switch which ruined it.

I used to use audiworld and rs6 too, but not bothered for months now as they weren't a patch on this place. every so often something comes up that makes me ask the question as to whether it's worth looking elsewhere but, more by luck than judgment imo, this site has ended up being hands-down the best r8 forum out there.

I don't think anyone could create something that would have the gravity and momentum of this place unless the admins have a serious and long-lasting brainfart here.

Since before I got the R8 I had S4 Cab and then RS4 Cab I was on AudiWorld and Audizine a lot. When I bought the R8 I found there R8 forums very weak and got tired of the crap I read when I posted about some mods I was doing being to expensive and I must have "more money than brains" to spend that much. Then I found this great site, Still check the others but just for the regional happenings. As this site grows regional sub forums would be nice.
