Where can one see a live R8 Spyder in US?

I am a 2008 R8 V8 Coupe owner and ready to upgrade to the 2011 R8 V10. The big question is whether to go with the Spyder or Coupe. I've seen hundreds of pictures of the Spyder, but I really want to see one in person since it can make a big difference. I missed all the car shows exhibiting the Spyder. Does anyone know where I could go to see one, or if there is a show coming soon that will have a Spyder on display? I live in Northern CA. (I am also dying to see an R8 in Suzuka Grey if there is one near Northern CA)

A car show is the only place I know of for us mere mortals. I saw one recently at a car show here. It was a european version of the car.

I did not care for it much. Not only is the engine covered by the rear lid, even of you lift that lid you still can't see the engine due to the storage of the fold-down roof. IMHO, the whole car just doesn't have the sleek and sexy look of the coupe because the roof and the rear window are gone.

Besides Auto Shows, Audi will sometimes show cars at different sporting events that they are sponsors of. Last year they had the R8 V10 at the Red Bull Air Races here is San Diego, before the car was available in the US. You can also ask your dealer if they know of any special events to see one. It might be worth asking the Audi Sportscar Experience, in Sonoma, if they know of any cars to see. They had the V10s very early.

I think the R8 spyder is a gorgeous car.

I think the lines loook great, and I also like that there is no side blade on the Vert

I would assume the Audi Forum in NYC would have a Spyder. They always feature the latest, greatest and rarest of their US models there.

I'm in a 2009 6MT V8 coupe right now, but was lucky enough to snag a confirmed V10 spyder build slot for week of May 31. So I spec'ed my car and have confirmation of build. Delivery is due ~late July. While I have not been able to actually see the car in person, the many pix on the Net, plus private pix and comments, tell me it's the next car for me.
I'll provide pix as I get them.

The V8 coupe has been so fantastic, that I know the V10 spyder can't be a bad decision. Sometimes you just have to have a little faith, enjoy life and enjoy the drive!

I dunno, but I can tell you where you can now find a dead Brown Recluse...

There is a dead brown one inside my right headlight. Every now and then it rolls out of its' corner and is visible inside there.My bet is that it is a German spyder.The headlite units are sealed , no? \"/ The dead spyder is the size of a pencil erasure.
