New Heffners TT R8 owner

Hello all!

I have owned audis almost exclusively for the last 10 years. I recently sold my RS4 and I have been looking to buy an R8 for the last months for the purpose of supercharging or twin turboing it. I finally bought Ben's old car! It should arrive in a week. I can hardly wait! I am glad to have found this R8 community online!

Luck you! You should test drive a stock R8 now so that when you get the Heffner TT R8 you will know the difference. Please let us know what you think of the Heffner TT.

I have test driven a stock R8 Rtronic R8 and was a little disappointed in the performance compared to my manual RS4. They are essentially the same engine, but my car was 6 speed and had Milltek downpipes and Magnaflow exhaust. That combo is known to add a good 25hp, so that allong with the tranny was the difference. I suspect that my old RS4 would compare well to the stock R8 6MT, so I should still be able to tell the difference. I am curious to see how much faster this Heffner TT is compared to the 560 hp 2001 2.7T S4. I am sure I wont be disappointed!

I just bought an R8 and will likely be putting on the TT kit this fall. Sold a 911 TT and I am hoping this is even more fun than that one when I am thorugh.

Congrats! You should not be disappointed. Mine is sick... I have bumped up to 8 psi. I used to have an 01 S4 and it was a fun car. But the Heffner Twin Turbo R8 is just sick. Solid, fun, Fast car... I was down in Miami at the Runway Event and picked up some new ADV.1s from Ben while down there...

I am a little concerned that the car may not run right here in altitude. Is the boost adjustable manually? Do you know how difficult it could be to do minor tuning on the car? I may need to have the car tuned for this elevation.

I visited the Dolomites in Italy as a child and as I recall, the altitude was not a pleasurable experience. I gather the mile high stadium is not literally at an altitude of 1 mile
