SF, Marin, Bay Area R8 owners get together.

Just raced a Black\Carbon SB\exhaust R8 from the Golden Gate to Sausalito Saturday and I 've been thinking about this for awhile.

I've been participating over the last year with the Ferrari Owners Group doing half day or full day drives around the Bay Area (mostly North Bay\Coast) with sometimes 20+ F-cars\Lambo's\and a few other exotics.

Are any of you interested in something of that nature with strictly R8's? Throw in a brunch\lunch\etc and some great back-roads, and I guarantee for any of you looking to get out and see other R8's in the twisty's... We are going to have a ball.

Jeff - If you give me the specifics, I can post it on the R8 Club web site I am trying to get together. This is exactly what I would like to promote on the site, similar to what TTEast and TTWest does.

It's surprising so far that we have only three respondents! I know there are a few more Bay Area owners here. I'm working on a couple more R8 owners that I know and if we get at least five I think we can start to plan a date. I've considered at least one drive a month and whoever can make it, great, if you can't , maybe next time.

I'd like to make the first drive either the 15th or 22nd of this month and the meeting time will me no later than 8am in Southern Marin. The reason to start that early is to avoid bikes, pedestrians, traffic, etc.

As we get closer, I'll PM my contact info and the meeting place location.

Looking forward to meeting you all and starting a tradition for the passionate owners of this great car!

Lived in Mill Valley for a few years and miss running over to Stinson, nice drive as long as you don't hit the tourist train going over the hill.
