Audis in Iron Man 2 Premier

Hi All,

Had a chance to see Iron Man 2 last night at an Audi-sponsored premier and was impressed with both the Audi content and the movie itself.

R8 Spyder w/ceramics figured prominently, but an A8 w/20" sport wheels was also heavily featured after the RR was put down in the opening scenes. There was also a crowd shot where either a Q5 or Q7 is seen for a fraction of a second. Toward the end of the film, there is an Audi building visible for a split-second.

Other than Audi, only Dr. Pepper has a (subtle) placement in the film. No blatant Burger King shout-outs like last time.

The film itself is great and I recommend it regardless of the Audi content, but suspension of disbelief is required in several sections. Don Cheadle does a great job as Rhodey and brings more depth to the role than Terrence Howard did. If you're a Marvel enthusiasts, you'll be pleased to see more of Jackson in this film and Scarlett Johansson does very well in her double roles. Also, watch out for Larry King early on...

My Audi dealer also did a private showing last night and I went as well.

That spyder looks so good in white. Can't wait to see the movie -- tho it got a 69% on RT vs 93% for the first one!

I agree w/RT for the most part. The first one was a real step up in film-making, while 2 was sort of the "more of the same" or "turn it up to 11" mentality. There was certainly enough eye candy to please anyone, but it didn't blow me away like the original...

How many of you left the movie before all the credits were over? It is like many other Marvel movies (couple of the X-Men) where they have some scenes at the end (foreshadowing of a coming movie).

We stayed for the duration knowing this (although the credits were rolling forever!).

Saw the movie last night... we liked it, but definitely wanted more...

Found the post-credits clip on youtube and was meh-ish over it.

I heard an interview with Robert Downey Jr. on TV. He said that the R8 V10 Spyder was the best car that he has ever driven...bar none!

Pretty good endorsement.
