Arizona to eliminate DPS speed-enforcement cameras

Yipee!!! Effective 7/16 (be careful till then Harry!).

The City and County installed cameras will continue to operate but there is an initiative gearing up for the November ballot to repeal all those too.

Anything's posible in Arizona, the first - and last - wild west state. Heck, we don't even need a permit to carry a concealed firearm any more! And, you remember the immigration bill... Hey, I don't vote for this stuff!

No more cameras along the 101 out near Scottsdale?

    YIPEE!!!

But that means the one about half way to Fountain Hills, on Shea, will still be there? Rats - I don't like that particular one...

It sounds like they want to repeal all stop light and speed cameras according to the news. Even the ones on Shea. It'll be back to radar and laser. Poor DPS. He He He

I think they could get rid of the speeding cameras but the redlight cameras need to stay.

Last month I was noticing new fixed Position speed enforcement zones.I thought things were getting worse for the occasional speedster. Time to ditch the truck and use the R8 for A.Z road trips. Leaving for Az. this afternoon.C-yaaaa Scott

If you bring the jet, let's caravan up to Quattro de Mayo. Need to save Mike a spot.
