My r8 consume Oil of engine V8?

Hello, is normally that the audi r8 consume oil of engine in 500km???

I full deposit oil and drive the car aproximate 500km and the car told me that need 1 liter oil ¿this is normally?

Other r8 that autonomy of oil have?


My oil it is 5w30 CASTROL EDWGE

Yes, this is normal for a new R8.

i check the level of oil and Ok, when i finish check clear the error in FIS .

I think that fail the sensor now it is every OK and level is good

pax, please be certain to follow exactly the procedure for checking the oil level. It is in the owner's manual. If not followed correctly, you can overfill the dry sump oil tank and perhaps cause damage to the engine. Good Luck, and enjoy your car!

yeah , i read the manual of service audi and i check the temp 110Cº the oil and check the dipstick and the oil is HALF . this is rigth.



I think that the sensor measure bad , and when i check the dipstick clear the problem.

THe oil of the engine is good and the problem clear.

It's about what mine did initially, but the consumption should go down as it gets more miles on it.

I am using 1QT every 3-4000 miles. Dealer said that was normal
