I wonder if it is possible to fabricate a glass engine cover for the R8 Spyder in between the two silver vents. The R8 Spyder has two covers in the back. The large fore one covers the engine, and the small aft one covers the airbox.
The larger fore one lifts during convertible operations, so the glass would have to retain some structural requirements. When the convertible top is down, it would cover the engine and through the glass you would only see the buried cover. But when the convertible is up, you would see the engine through the glass, unless something else is in the way. Can someone with access to a Spyder take a picture of the engine with the forward cover in the up position?
Both Ferrari and Lamborghini offer this glass window option on their Spyders. Maybe Audi will in the future?
