Fire scares me above and beyond all else in a race car.

It's why I wear a three layer fire suit, even in the desert. And let me tell you, sitting on the line waiting to start can be unbearably hot. Nomex Simpson shoes, gloves, Nomex lined helmet and three layers of I don't wanna burn up. Well worth the piece of mind and protection it affords.



My race car has a Fuel-Safe fuel cell that's tucked deeply away from everything that can cause issues, but still...

That's just scary. Plain and simply scary.
