Raced a GTR yesterday 70 to 150. He got the jump and I still beat him. No contest! He tried again and I still walked away from him. Thought he would be faster.

Going fast can depend on so many things.... not least the driver!
very surprising given what autocar wrung out of them both:
Nissan gt-r black edition
0-60s 3.8s
0-100mph 8.5s
0-150mph 20.3s
http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/...dition/239872/
compared to the following for the r8 v10:
0-60pmh 4.1
0-100mph 8.9s
0-150mph 20.6

R8 V10 r-tronic: ice silver / carbon blades / grey alcantara (2011)
Q5 3.0 tdi s-tronic
Previous: R8 V8 r-tronic: mugello blue (2008) / Bmw M6 (SMG III) / Bmw e46 M3 (SMG II) / A5 3.0tdi
Different days/drivers..different results
GT-R Horsepower produced out the factory seems to vary car by car.
I would have thought in a straight drag they would be close..however on a circuit?

thanks for catching that Colin, here's their coupe stats:the stats above for the R8 are for the V10 Spyder, not coupe, the coupe is quicker i think??
http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/...10-FSI/241153/
0-60 : 4.1s
0-100 : 9s
0-150 : 21.5s
given they are slower that the spyder, I think we're in the realm of driver/conditions differences with it as both were 6 speed manuals as per the spec sheet.
whichever way around though, in terms of straight line grunt it's a tough imagine that the r8 v10 would walk away from a committed gt-r driver.

Does anyone know the warranty implications of tracking a GTR? Is is just urban myth that if you track it, your warranty is void?
i doubt it, i don't think the two relate. If something happened on the track, how would Nissan know? And even if they did know, what could they do?
