    Exclamation Leasing R8?

Since the car holds its value better than any other car in the market, thought about leasing, according to the dealer, Audi predicts the residual value of R8 after 2 years of leasing and 10k miles per year to be 50% of MSRP?????
On 133k car, monthly payment would be $3600 ?
So may be better to buy
    Very strange prediction from Audi!

Just pay cash and be done with it.

Then your kids can argue over who inherits it.

Medtner please put your location in your profile. I had the same experience with my dealer on the lease. Since so many dealerships went BK lease values at the end of the lease have gone down to next to nothing. They are in it for the money...regardless of what they say.

Could it be asked to the moderators to maybe add that you have to put a location in when you sign up.

leasing this type of car makes no sense. drive it for three years and sell it for 20k less than you bought it....will equal less than 1000k per month.

    I should hope so; 1000k = 1M.

Besides the 1000K/mo error, I don't know where you are seeing your prices, but 20K in 3 years is way optimistic for a new car in this price range (maybe starting with a used car). I paid about $160K (list price + normal fees) out the door for a new fully loaded 2009 V8 R8 fourteen months ago and see that similar spec'd used cars are selling for $110-120K. A bit more than the 20K in 36 months loss...

Leasing does not make sense but neither does buying a new car, if you want to be frugal. If you have the discretionary funds and want it, then do it. But if you cannot afford it or expect it to hold its value then you should really look again or perhaps consider picking up a used one now and letting the original owner take the initial loss.
