    Maintenance Experiences R8 V10

From your experience with your dealer work shop what was the things which you complain about ?
On my V8 when I took it 1st time they said they have a new upgrade for the engine and the gear and they did it did any one heard about V10 upgrades from Audi ?
They told me know upgrades for V10 tell now.
What other sounds or problems you faced on your V10 ?

Haven't been in for anything but a sticking hood release. The hood likes to stick on the seal over the tire arch. Getting close to my first oil change. Haven't been told about any software upgrades for the car, but I would like to see them do something about the flakey bluetooth connection issue.

Only problem so far is my left license plate light went out. Dealer replaced and installed for free under warranty

LOL. Welcome to The Club! Right or left side latch? My left one's been adjusted and replaced twice now and still likes to act up on a fairly regular basis.

This seems to be one of the most common issues with our beloved machines.

4700 miles in 4 months. Just had the first oil change done. Did have one service bulletin regarding noisy suspension housings that was fixed by a Chicago dealer while I was on a road trip.

No flakey bluetooth issues with me. I love how the car simply connects to my phone as I start it up. My other cars require me to accept connection on the phone.

Mine sticks on the driver's side. As soon as it gets dirty from driving in the rain, it sticks. So, it's a washing item. Wash the car, get out the lube, clean the seal, wipe out the dirt from the inside of the hood arch. Then one is good for a while. But it sticks quite regularly.

I would not be too complacent about the sticking front lid...at least not if you ever plan to travel at all in your car! I had a major P.I.T.A. episode with this when I drove 100 miles to our beach house with stuff in the trunk I had to have and the LID WOULD NOT OPEN!

    Front lid stuck shut!

I had to make a 200 mile round trip to the dealer and spend about 3 hours while they took the front wheels off and accessed the two side latches which would not release!

Prior to this extremely inconvenient event, I had experienced maybe 4 to 6 episodes of the left side (only) hanging up and had been told it was a lubrication problem. But when they really got into the problem, they decided it was a slack release cable, maybe compunded by a missing cable tie-down at one point. They assure me they "fixed" the problem so it won't happen again! But I can tell you I'll never travel anywhere with any absolute essential item shut up in there again!!

BTW, the "emergency lid release" manual cable pull in front of the glove box (under the angled foot board at the front of the passenger footwell) at the upper left of the fuse box (described in the owner's manual) was of NO ASSISSTANCE in this case....because it was excess cable slack and no amount of pull was enough to trip those side latches.

My advice, if you're having the left side hang up, is get this checked out!! Apparently, the design and routing of the cable makes the slack show up first in failure to trip on the left, and when it gets worse then both!!!!
