The Benz has a growl, the R8 has a howl and the Porsche sounds like a Porsche, which is good.

I'm not a fan of the Benz's look - makes me think of an older Jaguar. Wicked sound, though.

Yep..some believe its the second coming and its boring.

I don't put myself in that category as every car has it strengths and weaknesses.

The GT-R owners I have meet here are more what you would call "car enthusiasts"and respect and love almost anything that has the detail and pzazz of a Supercar(sic)

Still prefer the overall experience of my R8 on road or track even thou my GT-R is 3 seconds faster on the track and much easier to push at the limit.

Simply not as brave in my R8..so its a driver malfunction

The R8 has a RUMBLE more than anything. it scares people the first time they hear it from inside the car.

But the SLS sounds waaaaay meaner, almost not quite in-character given the car's slightly more "grand touring" personality. Those Eisenmann hand-built exhausts just sound amazing straight out of the box.

faster or not, they can never outrun the inevitable conclusion that it is and always will be a Japanese car....and there IS a difference, apparent at a glance
