What's the youngest R8 fan you have encountered?

Every once in a while something especially cool happens when driving this car. I was about to pull out of the carwash today, and a guy with an Acura comes running over and wants me to stop. He asks if it would be OK to have his son's picture taken with the car. This little guy gets out and promptly heads towards the drivers seat since I left the door open. The dad tries to stop him and I say its fine, so the kid sits in the drivers seat. I say to the dad, that he seems kind of young to even know what type of car it is, and the kid pipes up "it's an Audi R8", while both hands are on the wheel.

This kid could not have been more than 4. The youngest R8 convert yet.

There are some great stories about Jay Leno welcoming young kids who show an interest to climb into his cars. Apparently, he was originally turned on to cars by someone doing that for him with Jaguar when he was a boy.

I've often referred to what I call the "SBRF" (small boy recognition factor) of various cars, and the R8 has one of the highest I've seen!!

My 8 yr. old grandson absolutely LOVES to have me pick him up from school, where the teen-aged boys from the upper school are lining the curb waiting for their rides. They whistle and cheer when they see the R8, and my third grader grandson gives them a smug look as we pull away!!

I was picking up my friend the other day and a little girl, maybe 7, was walking with her mother and stopped to stare at it. She said, cool car and watched me pull away.

All the neighbor kids, boys and girls, stare at my R8 as I head out or return. It's just that nice of a car.

We work on a lot of R8's here and I often drive them outside of work hours when we are testing products, going to/from Cars & Coffee, diagnosing install issues, etc. My son (now 4) LOVES it when one shows up at the house and he can recognize them all. "Mr. Chris' car", "Mr. George's car", "Mr. Joseph's car", etc. He has his preference, but I dare not play favorites... the other kids in our neighborhood always check them out and I get lots of waves and thumbs-up.
