    Anyone debadge their cars?

I am ordering the Ventureshield film for my car and the installer told me it took 7 little pieces in the front rings area. Maybe I should just de-badge the hood for a cleaner look, a simpler PPF install, and easier cleaning. Do I want that badge as a place to press the hood closed? Any other reason to keep it on?

Edit: I just noticed the V10 badges are actually on the hood. I am thinking they should go too.

We pull them off regularly. The venture shield looks better w/o the interruption...

I took all mine off when the did the ventureshield. Looks great. But I have seen it done with the rings on (on R84ME's car) and it looks good as well.

I took the badge off for the Ventureshield install, then put a new one on over the Ventureshield. I ordered a new badge from Audi, but I probably could have reapplied adhesive to my original for a lot cheaper. I think the Audi dealership charged me about $50 for it.

I'd think it'd make sense to remove the badges, do the shield and then re-apply the badges on top if the adhesion would be ok that way. I know they didn't remove the badges when they did mine though.

I only removed the R8 badge on the rear. Looks ugly as hell and ruins the symmetry of the car. I'd leave the front and rear rings though.

As for the V10 badge on the side, I'd also lose those. Flashy and ugly. Cheapens the look.

I dislike chrome, so both set of rings and the R8 on the back were all removed. I was going to replace them with black ones from OEMplus, but I liked the clean look. If I had a V10, those badges would have come off the first day too. It is all personal preference.

I think I'm set on removing the V10s. Still torn on the rings. I like the clean look and generally don't care for most front badging or chrome, but I do like the Audi rings. I'll probably take them off. I suppose I can always place them on top later if I want.

I just had a look at your gallery. Your car looks great "in the buff". I'm not sure I want to completely debadge mine, but I feel a lot better about cleaning off the front now.

I hope you don't mind me showcasing your ride.
