2010 V10 R8 Ordered!!! Questions please

Hey Guys, finally found the R8 i was looking for.

I have been surfing this forum for the past month for info on the r8, i looked at several cars before making my decision and wanted to say thanks for all the great information you guys post on here, made my decision much easier.

I currently have a white 09 bmw m6, 11 bmw 760i and a ss range rover....I have always been a bmw fanatic but found myself outgrowing their line up, i have already reserved the first m6 in my area that comes out as a 2012 model but until then im going to add the r8 to the fleet.

I had my assistant call 25 different dealerships until she found a cancelled order for a white r8 which is the only color i would consider, looks so sexy with the carbon accents! The car is a little limited in the options and here are my questions, all the specs are below.

1. License plate holder front - thats an option with the car, i don't do license plates in the front, is it easy to replace this with the non plate part? Has anyone done this before, i can't ruin the beauty of the front end with a fat usa plate.

2. Interior trim right now is not carbon, so im not sure what is even going to look like, i would like to add the carbon kit or the piano trim kit, has anyone done this? Is it difficult to do?

3. I am going to just have a suede liner added because all my current cars have it, sure that won't be too much of an issue.

4. Is there any other options that are a must have that i am missing? I am going to be purchasing the car so i can alter whatever i like.

5. any photos of the 5 spoke polished rims? and what are summer tires? lol

As for your minor changes there are companies that can do them fairly easy. OEMplus changed my grill to the Plate Delete. They also offer the interior CF and a more advanced PPI kit. MAcarbon offers a lot of CF pieces too. Europrice is another regular poster. There are other companies that offer pieces, but these are a few sponsors of this forum.

You can look in the gallery and find pictures of the polished wheels or you can use the search and find some threads on this forum. The summer tires will most likely be PZero's 235-35/19in up front and 305-30/19in rears (since you have the polished wheels).

The carbon additions are easy - all except the hoop that goes around the dash board (they call it the Mono-posto ring).

There's a link in here somewhere (do a search under my name and installation) that shows step by step how to put a lot of the carbon stuff in. I did a full write on the engine bay and half a write up on the interior - doors, mainly. The rest of it's really quite easy to do.

Front plate setup - that requires removal of the bumper. It's a common change out too. Contact Rich at OEMPLUS about this.

Alcantera head liner is nicer than suede and it's a fairly easy change out. Alex at Europrice or the aforementioned Rich can hook you up.

More than likely the summer tires are the brick Pirellis that come on the car. (I'm not a fan - I like PS2's).
