The E-Tron is pretty intriguing and as much as I like Audi products, they may have some pretty stiff competition with SSC's electric variant of the Ultimate Aero, although I imagine the price of the electric Aero will be substantially higher than the E-Tron and waaaay more than the Tesla roadster.

Thankfully EV's have sure came a long way and in a short time; I really hope the E-Tron program takes off in a big way!
Now if someone would just market a few bolt-on performance mods for the Prius so the tuner car crowd can try to keep up...maybe some shiny new 22" wheels and an obscenely large trunk mounted spoiler would help...Ooh, how-bout a small storage cell of 480 three phase; kind-a like a nitrous (N2O) bottle!![]()
I agree that this car looks great. Of course, the looks are pure R8. ( still hate that ugly chrome livestock fencing used in the V10 grille, as always. Yeck!)
The Audi R8 e-Tron, the two-seat sports car with a total of four electric motors (two each for the front and rear axles),
has won the Silvretta E-Auto Rally Montafon 2010, against 23 other electric vehicles.
The 167.5 km (104 miles) rally race took place in Austria alongside the Silvretta Classic Montafon, which Audi also won.
"We are delighted at the Audi e-tron's victory in the first E-Auto Rally," said Michael ****, Audi's head of technical development
who also served as a driver of the e-tron in the rally. Lucas Luhr, and Audi test driver, was the other pilot at the wheel of the
e-tron.
The race took place over a period of three days and included ten time-trial stages.
No details were provided on how much/how often charging for the batteries was required to power the e-tron's 230 kW
(313 hp) electric motors.
Competitors in the field included:
SLS AMG E-cell (with 392KW the most powerful)
Tesla Roadster
RUF Porsche 997 (electric)
