    Replacement tyres for a V8

I will soon need to replace my tryes and would like to know what everyone is using.
I dont track my car and was thinking of the Michelin Pilots.
The standard Pirellis were good but got noisy when half worn.
Iam in Oz so I dont need winter tyres but wet weather performance and ride comfort are important.

I loved the PS2s on my 911; Better than Bridgestone on most dimensions of performance. A lot of Rennlisters run their 911s on Sumitomo HTR Z IIIs for not much more than half the cost of the PS2s, but I don't think they're available in the R8 sizes?

FWIW, I've always thought Continental Tires I've used have been a good wet weather tire. But then again, if you are looking for all round, all season type use, I'd suggest you don't go for one of the "ultimate" performance, softer compound summer type tire, but rather look in the very high performance more all season tire design and selection.

If they are purely for street I personally would stick with the P Zero

Everyone has a opinion like myself but for a street tyre I think they do all tasks well.

If you occasionally do Track Days then that's whole different suggestion.

If you want a good place to start and see some reviews look up Tire Rack USA

The Hankook Evo V12 tire is a good wet weather tire. I tracked them once and they are too hard a compound. The groove channel design works well in the wet though. And they are rediculously inexpensive. So I am a Hoosier slick guy most of the time and for long trips I switch to my Hankooks.

I have michelin ps2's on mine - very pleased with them, but I've always liked ps2's.

I recently put Hankooks on as well and I'm happy with them. I don't track my car and they work well for a semi daily driver vehicle.

    PS2's all the way.

I'll report back on the Toyos that came with my wheels - they're heavy, funky looking and I think I'm not going to be happy. I'm probably pre-biased after running the PS2's, though.

I wouldn't run anything less than the Corsas , Kfab. A great tire ,the CORSAS.Next best track tire to the Hoosiers.(that I have tried)

I have Hankooks on mine and hate them, but do love them in the rain.

Next set will probably be the Yoko Neova AD08's... i've read good reviews on tirerack for them.
