    V10 Carbon Sigma Interior Package

So I found my car finally, the only thing I'm missing is the Carbon Fiber Interior package, its 2500 as an option but the dealer quoted me nearly 7k for all the parts and installation.

Can anyone tell me what parts are involved in the carbon interior trim or have alternate pricing or other vendors for the parts?

I have never seen the interior without the carbon interior so if anyone has that option I would love to see photos if you got a link to an old thread.

My car arrives august 2nd so I need to order all the parts and have them there ready to be installed for when I pick it up

You can get the parts and install yourself but the monoposto is a b**tard to do even for the pro's, so 7k for parts and installation is unpalatable but realistic. Once you have the c/f bug it's hard to stop though - on my car I've replaced every bit of plastic, engine bay, interior and hood...

p.s. Just don't tell the wife - the R8 Forum has now estalished an honorable tradition......
    Best Regards, Ian

Well having the option built into the car is always less expensive, sometimes frighteningly so, since you are omitting one part for another while purchasing the items new means you have essentially bought two sets of trims, one with the car purchase and one separately. Always a hard pill to swallow.

    You need: Center Console Trim - (x1), Gauge Trim - (x1), Armrest Trim - (x2), Door Trim - (x2)

If your dealer is willing to do $7k installed that's a nice deal. The MSRP is $7825 at the moment for these trims. In the end my pricing at $6639.00 with shipping and then adding installation (which they may not give you a deal on if you buy elsewhere) is likely not going to cut it to save you any cash unfortunately.

The doors and center section are pretty easy to do. The main center console is probably the hardest of the pieces to change out if you don't remove the seats.

But like ianerrid says, the monoposto's a biatch. I had an R8 certified tech put mine in and he had a beast of a time. Took the better part of an evening, as you have to pull the entire dash, the steering wheel, gauges - pretty much everything.

Re: V10 Carbon Sigma Interior Package

Thanks for the info guys, the dealership i am purchasing the car from provided me with the following information on the parts and prices, please let me know if this encompasses all the parts in the carbon fiber interior package

4 Trim pieces, 2 for each door, im guessing this is the frames and armrests on each door.
Coverframe, i guess this is the piece that is on the left side of the wheel

Console i assume this is the piece in the middle center console or is this around the cluster guage?

I also ordered the license plate holder deletion part

    Does that sound about right?

6x trims is right, door pull on each door, armrest on each door, around instruments and console trim. Sounds like that's what they have for you. License plate delete would be a whole grille.

If the dealership doesn't work out I could offer a discounted price, but I do think in the end if they honor $7k including labor you still probably would make out around the same.

    Cheers,
Thanks, i ended up getting parts for 6200, with a 15% discount with my families dealership license so all in all I think i got the best deal. I am looking for a nice replacement for the paddle shifters or extensions, during my test drive i found the paddles much smaller than my m6

    That's a pretty nice deal!

I posted over in your other thread with ideas on mirrors, headliner and something that might suit your tastes on the paddles. I don't have any experience with the Vivid paddles, but they appear to be what you may want.

Again just let me know if I can be of any help.

After taking the dash out to replace the monoposto. You are risking the introduction of rattles. I'd never do it. Hope it works out for you though.
