Monterey Audi Corral

Does anyone know if there will be some form of Audi Corral or special parking at the Monterey (formerly known as) Historics?

I'm getting my car the week of the races, and want to bring it, but not if I have to park in the dirt on the hill.

I checked with the local Audi Club (Golden Gate Chapter) and, unfortunately, no corral. Sad but true as we all know Porsche and BMW will have a presence there. I live in Carmel and was excited to bring my car for the races Saturday but we're either going to take a taxi or sit this one out...

I would check with Harrison. Last year they had a corral for 4 or 5 R8's.

I recommend checking in about the NON-ITALIANO corral.That's how it's done.There is plenty of room for an R8 corrall.

It's true. No ACNA corral at the Historics - or anywhere else that week.

ACNA has ZERO presence on the Monterey Peninsula the entire week. There was some initial discussion that the GG chapter might be hosting one but they decided not to.

I've fallen but you guys need to pick up the flag for the drive & a corral at the Concorso. It's a great venue.

Yeah. I was 'talkin' bout the Concorso. A very fine event indeedy. (Actally an event I will never forget. Meeting up with you guys was a ground-breaker...literally) Scott,... my secretary just called to say - "the package has arrived" YEE-HAWW !!

I'm definitely in for an R8 or Audi corral at Concorso. We're going to do Quail in the morning and Concorso in the afternoon.

Nothing I'm aware of at the Historics. I'm registered for the non-Italian corral at Concorso, same as last year. However, there is a good chance we won't be able to make it to Carmel this year.

Last year six R8Talk'ers got together for lunch Thursday, then Friday morning we met for coffee and those who were registered (4 of us) drove into Concorso Italiano together which was very nice. We were able to park together at the entrance to Non-Italian area which was great. There is a thread on here somewhere about it. Some photos:









Hot gossip: Audi may have some viral presence at car week. A friend of mine in Carmel, pretty active in the local car scene, was contacted by AOA. They are going to loan him and several others like him 2012 Audis to drive during car week. Don't know what model, but I'm thinking maybe a TT-RS or RS5? I might have to go to Carmel just to check it out!!!

EDIT: We didn't make it to the show. Turns out Audi was loaning the new A8.

Thanks for the responses. If everything goes perfectly, I'll have my car on Thursday, but I'm not planning to drive up until Friday afternoon. If parking at the track is dirt only, I'll be driving something else.
