I never thought a Fire Extinguisher would be on my shopping list...but I'm convinced enough now after the R8 last week and Lambo's

I thought this was fairly common on 360 and F430 looks like Ferrari has not fixed that problem on the 458.

why buy a fire extinguisher? I would rather have it totalled and get a new car. Not much difference between a partially burned vs totally burned vehicle.

A friend just told me if HIS house catches on fire, and he's not home, wait 5 minutes to call the fire department. He also told me that if HIS boat sprung a leak, let her go down to the bottom. Apparently, no one wants a smoke-damaged house or a perforated boat.

If my R8 was OEM standard I would probably grab a Cappa,light a smoke and pull up some kerb.

However the way insurance companies are these days if there was a engine fire they could possibly try and deny a claim based on the mods.

The 458 just recently arrived at my local Ferrarri showroom floor, a couple of weeks ago. FOUR of them have caught fire already. This black one was put out without too much damage. The driver should change his sleeve to a LUCKY number one. IMO
