Used the LC today for the first time.....big difference in getting off the line quickly. I hope that when they run the numbers on the R8 that those testing this car use this function as it is clearly much faster!

I hope you had a worthy drag race opponent to use your launch controll on. Too much launch controll usage and you'll have lunch money problems. (lunch controll). Most people race their exotics from a roll .Just to protect our investments. Sure it's nice to know how well the R8 can really launch !!!!

Seems a clutch model should'nt need launch controll. The R-tronic does . DUMPING of the clutch is a no-brainer in a clutch model. I would love to thrash an R8 rental w/standard. The R8 standard must be one of the best shifting cars on the market. (just a few small probs on just a few ) Just would'nt want to thrash mine. Dumping of the clutch,(burn-outs) is recorded as well. I used to compare Porsches to fine watches.The R8 makes me compare it to a great computerised watch. \"/

My experience with Audi is they will back up anything they build into the car unlike another brand that took consumers to court.

I remember being at one of the 911 launch days last year and they stated unequivocally that regardless of how many times used they stand 100% behind its use by its owner.

On the day we exceeded over 40.Last was as perfect as the first!

Has anyone used the launch control on the 6-MT, as outlined in the manual? I have read that but not tried it....d**n thing lauches fast enough for me the old fashioned way
