Pricing help

Hi all,
I have been bitten by the r8 bug and after test driving one today it has gotten a lot worse. Are there any things that I should look out for on an 08? Also as far as pricing goes, what would be a reasonable deal on a car like this? Can't post the url but its the gray car on the eurocaroc website, which is basically a loaded 08 with rtronic and 10k miles.

Last question. I know the 08's don't have ipod connectivity as standard, but can a dealership still add it after the fact, and if so how much is it(tried calling my audi dealer but parts is closed on the weekend)? Thanks in advance.

As for the iPod, I do not know of any easy way of attaching one where the controls are enabled. There should be a normal aux port that can allows an extra source, but not the control. Also remember the original head unit should have two SD card slots behind the screen a that accepts MP3s. It will only handle the non SDHC cards, so 2GB is usually the biggest you can find. There are some non-standard 4GB cards out there, but the are not common. Another option is to deal with someone like OEMplus and update the unit to the 2010 version. The 2010 unit can have the AMI unit installed.

Their price is not real high, but I have seen cars with less miles for a bit less. There are a few changes each year, but the display color on the DIS is changed on 2009+. I have seen the 08-09 R8s for 95-130K, depending on condition, options, miles and location. I am not sure where they are selling for. I would guess 100-115K. Understand that dealers will pay less and sell higher, so you best deal is a reliable owner, selling it themselves.

Thx SDR8. Looks like I'm just a little north of you. It seems like the prices have gone up a bit since the last time I looked about 6 months ago. I had figured prices would have dropped with all of the v10's but that doesn't seem to be the case. I would love to find a low mile rtronic with premium for around a 100. And right now I'm not in a huge rush since I still need to sell my 911, so I guess I'll keep looking.
