Hi all,
Richard Meadon recently reviewed my car in the UK. Great comments on the VF engineering conversion which I have grown used to but still love. It doesn't get much better than this. Enjoy.

It IS the business isn't it!Nice review.
Am I correct in thinking that perhaps this is a lower maintenance item in the longer term than the twin turbo setup available.
My experience with the GTR is they need to balance the air flows on the 2 cylinder banks on a regular basis with the twin turbo set up.
Is there are regular maintenance required on the supercharger apart from maybe a belt inspection??

After 4,000 + miles it has been maintenance free so far. I wasn't told of any specific maintenance but its a good question. VF upgraded the belt system on the car and I think they brought along an extra belt and left it with my tuner/installer, APS.
Great review Michael & having had the opportunity to drive your car i too was impressed with the power and noise, compared to the V10 it does feel quicker, pitty we didnt get a safe chance to go head to head, maybe a trip to santa pod raceway http://www.santapod.co.uk/ would settle it but i am not too confident about the Spyder beating the SCR8, maybe it would be the one & only time for me to utilise launch control!!

Me thinks maybe you conveniently avoided opportunities to do a head to head ol MB. I think we both know the outcome from the higher torque feel of the car...
Mmhh, Michael, you did suggest a drag race on two occasions, one on a busy highway and then at the start of the Nurburgring, not exactly safe and i did reject those suggestions on the grounds of safetybut i can see you may have interpreted it as chickening out!

When is Santa Pod running? I'm potentially planning another Ring visit, late Sept. Come on over and we can find a spot on the Autobahn or along the way to do a head to head with video. After driving yours I'd put money on the VF SC V8..... Definitely more torque in the mid range.
