just test drove the LP560 08 model, which is to be swopped with my R8 V10.
still considering this move too..... sigh, not an easy decision.
R8 definitely drives better.....

You can base that decision imho only on appearance and practicality, not on technical issues, cause in that way both I found more or less similar.
I consider the Gallardo not as beautiful and refined as the R8; if I'd go for a Lambo I'd choose the Murcielago just because it is really different to the R8. And in addition the R8 is more suited for everyday driving, especially parking is not that easy with the Gallardo (in case you are looking for a daily driver).
So just for boredom you should not change to the Gallardo; consider something more beautiful, e.g. the Alfa 8C![]()

I will replace my R8 V10 with 458 Italia (delivery on agust-september 2011) 1 year![]()

I would not change the R8 with LP560 : they are the same car at 98%
458 Italia or SLS AMG

I live in Sweden but I am Saudi, lived in Riyadh for 25Y and will be back by the end of the year. All car enthusiasts in KSA knows that the 560-4 is a great car, good looking and drives amazingly BUT old to KSA. When I come to visit KSA "like now" I see 4-5 white ones within my 2 week vacation, on the other hand my friend that owns one is saying " no way everyday drive!?".
So IMHO if you want to go one step forwards and not backwards you! already know KSA's new hot rod is the 458 italia?

after all, i do not like Ferrari italia 458 at all.
to me i would like to keep my R8 v10 rather than get italia.
but lambo, i think i have to make test drive cause i'm using my R8 daily use with no problem at all it's the most soft and smooth sport cart i ever drove.
let us see more advices

I have (and do) spent plenty of time inside both cars...I always say if I had an R* I'd drive it every day and supplement it with a Lambo as a weekend car.
The Gallardo is a very reliable car for regular use and is very comfortable by Exotic car standards, but is no where near as comfortable as the R8. The Gallardo is louder, stiffer and more brash. The R8 is smoother, quieter and much better balance between exotic and German luxury.
It's surprising how different the two cars feel to drive. The R8 is very "German" and very "Audi" which more about balance and comfort, whereas the Gallardo is completely "Italian" and "Lamborghini" which is more about style and attention.
Both are amazing cars for completely different reasons.
