Weird (but Minor) Question

When I accelerate briskly in my V10, the passenger side floormat flops down, folding over at the bend where the floorboard turns up into the firewall. It's a little embarrassing with a passenger in the car and annoying when alone (as I have to stop the car and unbuckle my seatbelt to reach it).

This did not happen in my '08 R8.

Have they changed the floormats in some way? I don't want to buy a new set only to have the same thing happen.

It seems a little silly to have to Velcro a floormat into place, but perhaps I must?

You might need to ADD Velcrow My '08 used to flop down untill I installed some heavy rubber HEXOMATS on top of them .Yeah that flopping was very annoying.

If it makes you feel better I have the same problem in my V8. The velcro sounds like a good idea.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I am having this problem in my 2009. I tried the "sticker" Velcro that is supposed to be strong enough to hold pictures to the wall but it won't stick to the back of the floor-mat. Anyone come up with a solution?

Could a large enough neodymium magnet actually be strong enough to hold a floor mat down to a wall even through the layers of carpeting?

Rare earth magnets for us mortals. Do you really think the firewall is anything but aluminum?
