'10 Audi R8 V10 (daytona gray pearl effect, CF sideblades, titanium finish wheels, STaSIS exhaust/ECU)
'12 Tesla Model S Signature Series (on order)
'11 Cadillac Escalade ESV
'06 Lexus RX 400h
'03 Chevy Corvette 50th Anniversary
'94 Dodge Viper
'69 Chevy Camaro SS/RS
Yep, similar. Looks good.
M-B is now like the Koreans...... Strange times.....
2009 Suzuka Grey/Cognac, CF Sideblade, MT6
Yes, its about time.
Hopefully they wont take the piss out of owners like Audi does.
It clear , that Audi views R8 owners as suckers -- targets for future raping rather than to build a reputation and brand.
The sooner Audi "gets it" the better.
History shows that companies that treat customers as the enemy ultimately will fail.
M-B star, Altima headlights, Testarossa side strakes on an R8....... Et tu Hundayai?

It's the same reason the Prius and Insight look so similar. After you get there, aerodynamically, there's only so much you can do to make it look unique.
'09 Audi R8 MT6 - Ice Silver-Apollo/Black (gone but never forgotten)
No question.......that is why the shape of the 911 has not really changed over the years and the NSX was just discontinued...... Either of those things could happen to the R8.

I don't see it as a ripoff, close yeah, but not a ripoff. oz, had some bad times eh? I sure don't feel like Audi is sh*tting on me
2009 Audi R8 (Silver)
2010 Audi S5 (Silver)
2011 Audi Q5 (Sexy Brown)
2012 Tesla Model S (Soon?)
Audi didn't invent the mid-engine config. Not even close. Audi does do it very well. But it needs to make some serious weight reductions, as well as maintain the current price points. ( sorry, but Audi needs to do much more than just offer the slightly lighter R8 GT to stay atop of this sportscar genre)
I'm very happy to see this new model from Mercedes. Porsche will do the same sooner or later with the 911 flagship, and it also will have nothing to do with stealing from Audi. The more competition in this hi performance mid-engine world, the better the car we will be offered, and at a very reasonable price.

SEAT of the PANTS DYNO
I like it, I would totally consider it if the price was right when they finally produce it and sell it.
