2011 V10 Spyder Arrival?

The ship carrying our new 2011 Spyder was supposed to arrive in Brunswick, Ga on the 13th. Supposedly the first batch of spyders coming to the States. No confirmation word yet from our dealer. Has anyone else here, with a spyder on order and underway, been advised in the last day or two of actual arrival yet? Either the ship, or an actual car at the arrival port distribution center, or at their dealership?

Allegedly some guy in Florida has purchased the "first" one coming to the states and it's supposed to be arriving very soon. Probably on the same boat. I never heard a date, though.

There's some long story about why and how he's getting the "first" one, but I don't recall the details.

Yeah... Woohoo! He gets the first one and there are like 20 other spyders in the same port. I know 2 people with Spyders on that same ship, and it is in port right now. Funny what makes some people feel special.

Sorry did not answer this. There is a ship in the port right now with Spyders on it, but not sure if it is the same as yours...

my local dealer is supposed to get their first spyder first week of September so that one might be on this boat also.

Thanks guys. We'll be bugging our dealer tomorrow re details. I read about the first one "bought/auctioned". I assume if being "1st" makes someone feel good; fine, but I'm comfortable being number ~2-50+ and knowing I paid a third of what he paid!
I hope the auction proceeds went to a good cause, in any case.

We got confirmation yesterday (yes, on a Sunday!) that "Our ship, was in"! He was waiting on a ETA to the dealership.
Dealer e-mailed this morning that the car will not be released until this Fri (at the earliest) and then to add another 2 weeks for a carrier to the dealership. He says R8s go by dedicated carrier.
So...the waiting continues...
