I drove the R8 LMS

Hey there, over the weekend I participated in the Audi race experience. Apart from pushing hard on the V10 I had the opportunity to track the LMS for about 12 laps

I can assure you: it's a monster. Attached are some pics, enjoy.

Well, nearly 10 instructors, mechanics and salesperson took care of the greedy bunch of customers - no chance, not even enough fuel (due to weight issues) in order to take it to the Autobahn

To be honest: We pushed the V10s very hard around the circuit, but when entering the LMS and sitting behind the wheel everyone of the participants fell in awe. No-one of us dared to drive it as hard as the V10 some minutes before. I had so much respect for the car, although it would have been possible to drive it much harder than the V10. But you just sit in there, thinking about all the lamps and switches, it's not very comfortable, and costs a lot of Euros (350,000 with all technical parts), and then you are supposed to push it with 150 mph over the top of a hill into a 2nd gear 90 degree corner. Well..... I had about 12 laps and it got better and better with every new lap. But when I left the car I was soaking wet and probably lost some pounds due to nervosity etc.

To put it in a nutshell: I wasn't sure what to expect but it was tremendous and like a drug - I am an addict now
